Step by step, she gave up the little things that defined her. Books and poetry and pencils and ruled sheets; they held a special place in her heart. They still do, if not in her life. They probably made her cry more often than laugh, but, the way they broke her heart was beautiful. She let go the things she loved the most; in the effort to dive into the big new game. Back then, she didn't realise that it's love that gives you the courage to dive. Without love, you simply float.
